Meet Mr. Moe
I’m excited to welcome Naomi Clark, creator of Mr. Moe, a wonderful sensory tool to help kids express emotions by showing a happy or sad face on bright colored pillows, key chains, stickers, and stamps.
I’ve invited Naomi to answer a few questions about her product. She has also offered to GIVE AWAY THREE MEDIUM SIZED PILLOWS TO THREE LUCKY COMMENTERS!
Let the fun begin!
Welcome Naomi and Mr. Moe!
Interview with Mr. Moe’s creator
Naomi, tell us about Mr. Moe?
Mr. Moe is a super soft, colorful, round happy/sad face boldly embroidered on a pillow. It is a tool to help express emotions.
How did you come up with the idea?
When I was eight years old, I was in an isolation room fighting an infection from a ruptured appendix for three weeks. My dad would visit and draw the happy/sad face on a simple piece of paper and hang it on my wall. It always made me smile and feel better. I have never forgotten that happy/sad face, and have dreamt of of sharing the concept with others.
Mr. Moe was inspired by my dad.
A year ago I started to make my dream a reality. Since then, I have been overwhelmed by stories of children and their Mr Moe.
I thank my many friends who encourage me to move forward.
What are your hopes for Mr. Moe?
My passion is for every child to have a Mr. Moe. Especially children with special needs that have non verbal moments. We all have those times (me too).
I was a pediatric nurse for many years and hope to share this product in hospitals too.
Where can we purchase Mr. Moe products?
You can purchase them on our website www.meetmrmoe.com. Or email me at meetmrmoe@gmail.com. I would be honored to help and answer any questions.
Mr. Moe products make great fundraising tools too!
THANK YOU NAOMI AND MR. MOE!
Naomi was kind enough to ship a package of Mr. Moe goodies to my gang in Chicago. Elaina and Zoya each snagged a key chain, and Polly and Evie love the pillows. They are soft, the colors are bright and cheerful, and Polly easily figured out the happy/sad face idea
.
(Note: I have not been paid to write about or endorse this product. I just really like it!)

I love this!!!! We have been working for YEARS with our Xander to teach him how to tell us if he’s hurt, upset, wants to be left alone….and along with that, trying to help him understand “happy”, “sad”, “good” and “bad”, so that he can use those and express his emotions so that we can address his needs (instead of the auto aggression and aggression toward others that we deal with due to his sensory needs). He is FINALLY starting to understand how to express his feelings, so something like this would be GREAT. I’m thinking it’d be especially useful at school, where he is often overwhelmed and those in charge tend to “not notice” (we say they “ignore”, they say “not notice”) his signs.
AWESOME idea…xo
What a wonderful idea you have come up with. My son is non-verbal, so it’s nice to know that there are others out there who care about our little darlings with special needs! Good luck with your business.
How can you not love Mr. Moe! The pillow would be good for any child. Although I have three daughters with Ds, it is my 5 yo typical son who struggles to express himself when he is upset. Mr. Moe would be perfect for him
I love this & know my students will too. Thank you for this give-away!
My son has mosaic trisomy 21 and mosaic trisomy 14. This is so neat. I would LOVE to add this to my website…:-)
what an awesome product! I think it’s useful for any child who may have problems expressing themselves….
I think that this is so great for our non verbal kids. Thank you for sharing this with us.

what a blessing….. thank you for reaching out to our families that could use this awesome tool for communication.
I would love to give this to my granddaughter. She has DS and needs every new stimulus she can be given.
Love this!! Would be perfect for my LO what a great idea!
thanks for sharing!
Liked the facebook page too
This is such a great idea. I know my son has a very difficult time when it comes to feelings. He is non verbal and is learning to communicate happy and sad.
I love the idea of hospitals having these. My son has had to frequent hospitals and though hospitals have come a long way with the visual pain scales, I think Mr. Moe is a much more user friendly for the little ones.

What a great idea! I love the story behind the pillow, too. That’s a neat memory of her dad.
Love this. I have a child with special needs (Down syndrome) and while he is not yet verbal, or non-verbal – my “typical” 2.5 year old is……spirited~! and I can use all the help I can get coming up with new ideas how to get him to express his emotions, rather then yelling, screaming, crying and whining. Good Luck all~!
I love this! I have two children with special needs and am a teacher of special education.
I love this!
My son who is six and has DS would love something like this. He gets frustrated a lot and having something that could help him show his emotions would be great. Also, my mom’s maiden name is Moe so it has to be good
lol
